Dr. Nasra Shah gave a presentation on “Policies and Legislative Framework Governing Labor Migration to the Oil-Rich Gulf Countries” at the workshop on Oxford Handbook of Comparative Immigration Law, held on August 11-12, 2022 at Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. She discussed the rules governing the admission, stay and departure of private sector migrant worker and their families, and the domestic workers. Her presentation also covered the conditions that render a migrant worker as illegal or irregular in the Gulf. Dr Shah also highlighted the reforms in migration governance in the region.
