Pakistan Launches National Emigration and Welfare Policy 2026

The Government of Pakistan launched the National Emigration and Welfare Policy 2026 on 23 July 2026, establishing a comprehensive framework for managing labour migration and strengthening the protection and welfare of Pakistani migrants and their families. The policy focuses on promoting safe, orderly and regular migration, improving migrants’ skills in line with changing international labour-market demands, strengthening protection and grievance-redress mechanisms for workers abroad, encouraging the use of formal remittance channels, and supporting the economic and social reintegration of returning migrants. It also introduces measures such as an international call centre for migrant complaints, special courts for dispute resolution, and improved support mechanisms in destination countries. Read More
